Tuesday morning my dad (Deb's) passed away while in the hospital. The nurse was doing some cares for him and they were talking when he just fluttered his eyes and....that was it.
It was very quick.
If I can be thankful....it is that he died at the hospital he loved. He knew the staff and they enjoyed and cared for my dad. He was sick but he felt "safe" at Cambridge Medical Center.
I'm thankful he didn't die at home and my sister or other family member's didn't have to find him.
I flew out Tuesday afternoon to be with my sibling's. We are working through the difficult task of "what to do" with my parents' treasures and many good years of great memories. We expect the days ahead to be filled with tears, laughter, friends and ALL our family together...exactly the best way to say good-bye to our DAD.
