We decided to sneak away for one night. We left early evening after work and other commitments and spent the night at the Inn at Spanish Head. The boys ran into the ocean when we got there and then hit the heated outdoor pool. Chuck and I sipped a little wine and talked late into the night...aahh.
Got up early with the light of day so we could spend as much time playing on the beach and exploring. We always love to hit Cape Foulweather...and whales are migrating now so there are volunteers that greet you and help you spot the "blows" and "sprays" of the whale pods. Note to self...bring binoculars! Then, we took the boys to a little out of the way trail that leads you out to a magnificent view of the ocean....you're on the top of a rock cliff about 25-30'...it is spectacular! Mitch was getting my mama nerves jangled tho because he was creeping way too close to edges for my comfort! ugh!
Boiler Bay was not very active today so we went on our merry way.
Dined at Mo's for fish and chips...my arteries don't need that food item but once or twice a year...???
We went to a couple of antique establishments...didn't spend any money...whew!
Then, headed north to Pacific City so the boys could run in the water awhile.
What a pleasant day! It was good to see families enjoying the day together...
Another note to self....come straight to Pacific City and just spend the day at Cape Kiwanis!!!
