Advent wreath and candles

Advent begins the fourth Sunday before Christmas. Advent is a solemn time: a time of waiting, of reflecting, and of repenting: a time set aside to prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus' birth and to look forward to His second coming. Advent is followed by the celebration of Christmas which is then followed by the season of Epiphany, the afterglow carrying us into another year of service for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The word ADVENT literally means coming. Jesus coming to earth as a babe. Jesus coming into our hearts as our Savior. Jesus coming again as the King. Christmas is meant to be a time of promise, reflection, repentance, expectation, giving, and great joy.
Merry Christmas from our heart and home to yours.
