I have no picture to blog this morning but thought I would update anyway.
I am one month out from surgery. Saw the surgeon this last week. Excellent comments from him. Of course, my age REALLY helps here in this particular diagnosis with recovery. Cardiac rehab is 3 times/week and all is going well there, too. I am 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the bike....all with a cardiac monitor on. Next week I see the cardiologist for a follow-up.
I am not driving yet.....thinking I could start soon as I rarely use pain meds 'cept ibuprofen. But...because I feel like I'm in a metal corsette, it makes it hard to move "as usual".
The surgeon noted they "laced" me up pretty snug and that it'll be 12-16 weeks where they want me to limit things like lifting, pulling, pushing so I don't dislodge the wires...blah!
My house is getting notably messier and/or I'm more aware of what's going on around here?!
we've had soooo many wonderful meals brought over and I know that has been a life saver for Chuck and the boys! I feel bad for Chuck as he has had to take over all the car pooling I usually do, the details of home management, haul me to appointments and rehab and still "carry on as usual"! I know he is looking forward to better days and finding normalcy...whatever that is!
I am looking forward to a couple of visitors...my friend Terri comes in a couple of weeks and my sister Carla comes over Halloween w/e. Yeah!
Have a great weekend!
